Jenna Liang

Jenna is a junior at Phillips Academy Andover, where she studies Latin and Ancient Greek. Her interest in the Classics began in middle school in the U.K. and soon grew into a lasting passion. Through translation, she discovered how language study cultivates discipline, focus, and attention to detail—transforming what was once a challenge into a source of intellectual excitement. Jenna particularly enjoys the precision of finding the perfect phrasing to capture an ancient author’s intent. Her academic interests extend beyond language to the intersection of philosophy and history, exploring how words shape ideas and understanding. Outside the classroom, she writes for her satire and philosophical blog, Scrolls and Trolls.

At Paideia Academy, our mission is to nurture each child’s unique talents in a safe and loving environment.

Our Vision

This program is designed to help students develop the clarity of thought and intellectual discipline inspired by the study of the Classics. The goal is to make Latin accessible, engaging, and deeply rewarding—demonstrating that learning an ancient language is not about looking backward, but about refining the way we think, reason, and communicate today.

Our Goal

Our goal is to make the Classics accessible, engaging, and meaningful for younger learners. At a time when most middle schoolers have little to no exposure to the Classical sphere, we aim to give students an early entry into a subject that strengthens their minds, broadens their cultural understanding, and enriches their academic journey.
